The NDR001 is Chicago-based Seiko modder Alexander James’ first large production run watch which was released as a kickstarter campaign in early 2019.
AJ has been supplying modding parts and producing homage-style modded watches, including the well known “Nilgauss” for some years. AJ well developed supply chain for dials, hands and markers led him to create his own watch, and the results are clear. Of the three dial choices, I chose the grey sunburst dial variant, the others on offer are a white ‘snowflake’ and a very interesting black granulated dial. AJ let me know that he produced 70 of this variant, the snowflake dial seems to have been the most popular.
